Yes, the broadcast can be picked up to create more universes via Ethernet, to feed MAX at high speed, and to feed Capture.

Can LCedit (connected to the same LanBox) be run together on the same machine with Capture or would I need them on separate computers?

Yes you can, but be aware that moving/changing lights places a high CPU load on the PC.
