Thanks for your answer.
I use an Akai MPC 4000,
and by writing to the Akai newsgroup I found out that
it seems to be possible.

I would still prefer the possibility to play cuelists by midi notes.

I do kind of "live music sequencing", and the cues should start simultaneousely with the coresponding music just by activating one track.
The MPC can have two outputs ber track, and I assign one to the internal sequencer, and the other to external midi.
The "light midi notes" are in an area where there are no samples assigned.
It´s a little bit tricky, but I will check how far I can get with the program changes.
