Having created all the actual cues in their various layers, it would be a really cool feature (and it would also save a lot of time) if it was possible to drag and drop the various layer cues onto an open cue list window, rather than having to type 'go cue number in layer XX' for each cue. So imagine a show state being created by recording a generic/static cue, a Mac 600 cue and a Vari*Lite VL6C cue. At that time in the control window, the cue numbers just recorded would be all sitting and available in the control window. Select the generic/static cue (say it's 100.15) and drag it onto step number 50 in cue list 1 (which is available in an open cue list window). Step 50 would then read simply 'go 100.15 in layer S'. The same process could be repeated for other cues. Is this a possibility for a future enhancement? The idea is nice and useful, but there are a number of issues. First of all is that while you are talking about "layer cues", cues have no connection with a layer from the system point of view (cues can technically run in any layer). It means you know in what layer your cue is going to run, but LCedit+ does not know unless we assume it's "Edit via Layer" ID. Another issue is that I think drag and drop is not possible, as we use it to reorder steps, but we could make a menu commands (but you still have to type the layer ID if it's not connected to a layer). If it's feasible we put it on the wish list. I absolutely agree with you John. Maybe a solution could be that activated channels will always stay active, unless you clear them in the cuelist editor or do a Clear layer from the control window?
