Creating a point-to-point connection with modems on a phone line is not easy, and is limited to about 33k speed. Another problem is that the LCX has no RS232 port to connect an analog modem. You can overcome this by using an Ethernet router ("modem") with dial-in. For point to pint connection of up to a few KM, you can also use WIFI access points with directional antennas, or just use e.g. ADSL connections to the internet. Alternative you can use a LCM + modem + phone line to dial-in, but in practice it's slow and unreliable. I hope this helps,
