John,

Did you see any errors in the interface message field?

If you do a "Reconnect Interfaces" (menu command), is it working then?

As I have never seen this problem, other then with severe network problems, does clicking on buttons (Go Next / prev) work?

It looks like it might be a startup sequence problem. On night when both systems had the problem, I connected everything up - including the ethernet cables. I then powered everything on with one switch and booted the two computers. When I ran LCedit I had the space bar problem.

My normal startup mode is to power up everything and boot the computers but to leave the ethernet cables disconnected until boot up and logon is complete. I then connect the ethernet cables and start LCedit. Another, probably unrelated point, is that both computers have an Airport card (switched off).

If I get a chance tonight I'll play around with the startup sequence and see if I can get a reproducible error.

Regards,
John
