Hi Fokko, mmh, I checked the examples but must admit, that I did not find the answer to my problem. I know, this is getting pretty specific and might no belong to this list's topic and might steel your precious time, too - so I would'nt mind if you just say stop it. But here's my problem maybe a bit more detailed: Our show has background midifiles, ( which include, among other data, all lanbox prg cha. Commands). These midifiles, I call them songs, have no specific order, but I choose from, say 127 songs, on the fly whatever I think fits the show next. So far, selecting the next song is done by typing a three digit midiprg number and an enter command into a small cablemidiremotecontrollbox ( what a word ). This is supposed to happen as fast as possible without the audience taking much notice of it. For a long time I have been searching for a way to send that very midiprg change command wireless. So far, all possible solutions have been to big, to clumsy, to unreliable and so on. So I thought, I can burdon that job on the Lanbox. You know, having an engine that will contain only cues that hold one midiprg. Change command ( 1 - 127 ) and start that cue via e.g. a Tungsten C, build into a guitar. But it's absolutly necessary for me, that this can be done without even looking at the display. There is no chance to pull out a markerpen or something - I only have time to type in the digits and hit enter. If this can be done with LC+Palm Os, ( whether making go presets or using ome other trick) I will praise the Lanbox until the end of my days - if not, it's still a good product. Another, similar approach, would be to use a handheld with a separat small keyboard ( or even better just "numberpad" ) that would be attached somewhere to the guitar, perfect of course would be a bluetooth numberpad. So getting back to your answer: Type x.xx in the Go field and click Go, or make some Go presets (see included examples). Will that meet my above described needs ? Maybe someone else on the list has expierence with the Palm OS and has an idea ? Thanks again, Michael Lohrengel
