Jeremy,

In my experience, USB devices require that you run the install program before attaching the device to the PC, otherwise very strange things can happen, including loss of conectivity with other devices on the USB bus. Unless drivers are supplied with Win2k this is the only way to install them. Also, always re-boot your machine after installing anything, even if it doesn't ask you... !
