I'm was afraid, this would happen. I got the new LCX, hooked it up to my windows XP Laptop, both via an hub and direct ( swapping cables too ) and I can see the Lanbox LAN Led light up green. I opened the projekt: tutorial (tcp77) but always get the answer: unable to connect TCP/IP to 192.168.1.77 . I have tried to put in:
password is 777, the name of the box is "LanBox-LCX-1", it's IP is 192.168.1.77 - no luck. What am I doing wrong ?

You must set your PC also to the 192.168.1.x net. In tcp world you can only reach devices on the same net. A net size is defined by the "mask". For more info read something about tcp/ip.

Anyway, set your PC e.g. to 192.168.1.10, with mask 255.255.255.0, gateway none. If you have however a router, the settings are different.

I forgot to mention, that DCS Studio ( tcpdemo) is working fine. I do have the XP firewall aktive - could that be a problem ?

No your XP firewall protects only to incoming connections. If you connect to our box via the internet, all routing and IP settings are done by your provider, or router.
