Hi Kurt

I have very successfully used the Pioneer DVD player with the LAN box
We have built an interface unit that is optically isolated from the LAN box with 8 inputs and 8 outputs.
We use the stack group function on the dvd player and combinations of LAN box output channels allows access to numerous functions like play stop pause enter and half a dozen stack groups etc
The unit is not cheep but is well constructed and has LED indicators to confirm inputs and outputs etc
This may be of use to you, I'm not sure?
