For a programmer it's very easy to do your suggestion with e.g. MAX, REALbasic, VB, etc. Just poll some mixer DMX channels, and do a script when certain DMX values are at a trigger value. The idea is to use some DMX channels for PC commands, which can freely be interpreted as command bytes ;-)

I'll experiment whit it when I have the time to do so. So I'll have to use the midi connection (in stead of the serial I use now) and send midi commands to the lanbox, that will send them to midi-out, which I connect back to my computer.. Is that the way to do it?


I'm using a lanbox lcm.
