You missed a tiny little detail: step actions are executed by the LanBox, not by your computer :-)


What you want is still possible, but will require something a bit more elaborate.. for example you can have the LanBox write some command to the MIDI out port, and then run something on your computer that triggers on it (written in Max for example)
