The way you created your scenes in Hypercard looks very similar the way LC+ firmware works. If you indeed used LCII firmware with hypercard, you can simulate that in the LC+, but it's far more easier to use the features of "plus" firmware namely having multiple layers and dynamic channels. To get the idea how the "plus" firmware is working with LCedit+ v3.1 I advice to read the tutorial, as it has several examples also for "live" shows. Can you combine scenes in the same layer that don't overlap? Not in the same layer in run mode, you need to use different layers. What happens if you then play another scene in the same layer that does overlap (I seem do be getting different results all the time)? You get a complex result, as the last active channel stays visible which means if in scene 1 you set ch 1,2,3 and in scene 2 set 3,4,5 the result will be ch 1&2 are set to scene 1 and ch 3,4,5 are set to scene 2. But... setting ch 3,4,5 means that all other channels can pass through from lower layers, which is probably not what you want. Please read the tutorial about channels and layers how they are treated, as it is completely different from LCII.
