Hey Thomas, Thanks for the info. I was wondering whether using a slightly hoping that I could do a similar thing in this situation. i.e. setup a series of cues, then step through them using the space bar and record the midi data issued by the LCX to the external sequencer. So my question is would the LCX / LCedit output the appropriate midi information? No, the LCX won't output the commands, but it's really very simple. Just drop in the Patch Changes where you want them. This is particularly easy if you have a tempo map in your sequencer, than you can literally place cues right on musical beats easily. If you use the patchlist banks like I mentioned, everything is very readable in your event lists too (Cue 1.1, Go Next Step, etc.) If you really want to "tap" it in, you could either just use a MIDI keyboard, PC1600x, etc. and tap a key to "mark" the location and drop the program changes in the same place. I do huge complex shows with a pair of LCX boxes and use the Program Change method and it works great. Often you do need to fire just slightly ahead of the beat to allow for latency in the whole system (MIDI, LCX, fixtures themselves). Jon
