Thomas,

can someone direct me to further infomation about using a midi sequencer with lcedit & lcx.

The easiest way is to use Program Changes (also referred to as Patch Changes).

Using bank select, you can access all LCX cues. The MIDI program change will always call up the x.1 step and you can use the Go Next/Prev commands to move thru the cuelist if there are "hold for evers" in there.

Go Next/Prev can be done with program changes also (Bank 127, the first 4 programs). The order is: Go Next Step, Go Prev Step, Go Next Cue, Go Prev Cue. You can also use controller commands for Go Next/Prev Step, but the patch method makes it nice since you can easily see it in your event list.

If you are using Digital Performer 4 with OS X, you can download our MidiLite AMS installer which will put OS X / DP4 patchlists in for the LanBox series of controllers, so the patches will appear within DP already. Our installer is at http://www.midilite.com and click on SUPPORT and DOWNLOADS.

I do have it available for DP3 / Performer running on OS 9 (FreeMIDI) as well, just contact me directly if you need it.

Hope that helps,

Jon
