Hi!

Another possibility is that you tried to change a step which has no DMX data, like a step with just "hold for 5s" or "show previous".

This seems likely to have been the problem. When editing a no data step i'm able to set values, and get the "layer edit" strip to turn red and then green without the values getting saved along the way. So, a user error indeed.

In this case the no data step was a comment step, which does bring up that i would really like to add some text label to a step and save DMX data into it at the same time.

Coming from the usual theatrical consoles this would be a feature i'd really like, on these boards i frequently type all my cues (as in: my notes about which memory belongs to which scene etc.) into the cuelist editor to be able to run a show fully from the console.

Of course it is possible to add comment steps before/after the cue steps, but a 'true' label function would be nice. Along with a feature to get (the dimmer part of) the DMX data in the cuelist as dimmer percentages instead of hexidecimal values this would really be the things that would make me use the cuelist editor all the time instead of the 'layer edit'. (you wrote earlier that you would like to 'force' users to do so).

Greetings,

Jorg Schellekens
