I am in need of some information... For an event on november 1 in "het paard" in The Hague, Netherlands i need to connect a lanbox LCX to a Hog1000. I need to do this because we are short on faders on the hog. The lanbox will control all the stage lights, about 20 single dmx channels. The Hog will control all the lights on the floor: 18 moving lights and about 240 single dmx channels. So this is about 220 dmx channels.

You mean hog 220 channels and LCX 240?

-Has the delay caused by frame alignment have a max of 1 frame?

No, normally you have already max 1 packet time (25ms), now add frame time (LCX interval = 50mS) + another packet time, so about 100ms delay.

Note: LCX DMX packet time is <25mS, while the repeat (frame) time is 50mS. So the delay between channel 1 and 511 is less then 25mS with LCX (LCM < 35mS).

-Will there be any delay due to internal processing in the lanbox (the dmx channels 'in' on the lanbox stage)?

No, it's handled within a frame time.

-Is there any way i can sync the lanbox and hog so the first delay is eliminated? (worldcloack, midi?)

Not with merging.

-Has the hog1000 a dmx 'in' port, and if so, does a change of order (lanbox connected to hog instead of hog to lanbox) has a positive effect on delay times?

Could be a little shorter if the hog has 40 frames/sec handling.

-Shouldn't we be doing this at all? e.g., is the trouble this is causing us more than creating a separate dmx line to the stage? Splitting dmx lines will be difficult because we use a ETC sensor rack and 6 788LD dimmers. Floor and stage lights a mixed on all dimmers...

Merging causes delay, so better not.
