Hi Folks, I've just completed a most successful run of Saucy Jack and the Space Vixens here in the UK. I had few problems which I wonder if anyone else has experienced. The show was run in a number of layers - starting from the top: T - triggers all show cues in all other layers C - chases G - generic fixtures S - scrollers F - Chromaq floor panels H - smoke machine The moving light rig was run from a second Lanbox. Problem 1. The first cue in layer T sets up the preset cues in all the other layers. All of these have a hold time of 'for ever', except the smoke layer which pumped in 5 seconds of smoke every 7 minutes. Everything was fine except the cue in layer G (200.2 hold for ever). Every 30 minutes this layer only would jump to the next cue (200.5 in this case). I couldn't believe this and eventually sat down and actually watched it happen. If the system was left untouched, after a further 30 minutes the cue would move to the next cue, 200.6. I tested this at home this morning and it did exactly the same thing. I erased the Lanbox and restored the show from my backup. The same thing happened. I erased the Lanbox, saved Lanbox data and rebooted. The show was restored from the backup, saved Lanbox data and rebooted. Lo and behold the problem has gone away. Has anyone else seen anything like this? Problem 2. Chases set to bounce double the time on the low numbered turnaround cue. This looked horrible. Example - step 1 hold for 0.5 secs, step 2 hold for 0.5 secs, step 3 hold for 5 secs. So this should run: step 1, step 2, step 3, step 2, step 1, step 2 etc. The sequence was fine but the hold time on the cue 1 turnaround was 1 second. The simple workaround was to halve the time of step 1 to 0.25 secs. This then worked fine. Problem 3. Using the step action 'set chaser to none' did not work as I expected. Once this step is executed, no further steps in that cue list would execute and the engine would stop at x.0. Is this a problem or a misunderstanding on my part. These minor problems did not detract from the fact that the two Lanboxes did a great job. If anyone wants details of how we set up and ran the show, let me know.
