I use 2 Chauvet-24 relay packs in a DMX chain that also includes 10 trackspots and 3 technobeams. I have only had a few shows with this setup, but I have had no issues with the relay packs. I'm using regular microphone cable (ouch, i know) and a DMX terminator with a LanBox LC.

Have you tried your setup with another controller? have you tried putting the dimmer packs / relay packs in a non DMX chase mode to see if they still flicker / turn off randomly? Have you tried a different location (bad power?). Have you tried having just one item on the DMX chain at a time?

That's all I can think of off the top of my head.
