Hello, lanbox-talk list participants I am experiencing two reoccurring problems. I have been working with Fokko van Duin to solve the problem. It seems that the LanBox may be a little too high end for for the Chauvet equipment. Regardless of this we have to find a work around due to the expense of changing out the equipment. I would appreciate any assistance in solving these problems. 1) The dimmers (9) flicker the lights. The dimmer packs are ChauvetDMX-34 <http://www.chauvetlighting.com/system/fixtures/dmx35.html>. Could this be a DMX updating issue? 2) The Chauvet DMX-24 <http://www.chauvetlighting.com/system/fixtures/dmx24.html> relay packs (17) used to control the special effects randomly stop working and will not work again until they are turned off and back on. Apparently if the relay looses it's place with the DMX signal, the relay pack becomes confused and can only begin working again when it's power is reset. In previous conversations I have been told that the DMX circuit may have too many items on it. Another suggestion was that the DMX signal had become corrupted by external EMI or bad cable connections. We purchased a Martin DMX RS-485 Optosplitter <http://www.martin.com/product/product.asp?product=rs-485optosplitter> to separate the one circuit into 4 circuits. Each circuit has it own terminator and all of the cables seem to be in working order. The problem seems to have gotten worse after adding the splitter. The relay packs still randomly drop out of operation and it seems that problem is just a random and occurs on all 4 circuits. If your reply is not of interest for the lanbox-talk list, please send private email All replies will be appreciated. Thank you for your time. Mark S.
