SubjectAfter the show - A few more observations :-)

Hi Folks,

A few more observations:

a) I now have an LC and an LCX. Can I use a cue on the LCX to trigger a cue on the LC? The documentation obliquely says "to be written"

This is because I have some Martin lights that choke on the DMX output of the LCX, but get along fine with the output of LC. Martin have acknowledged the issue with this and other "high refresh" controllers, but have refrained from producing a fix for nearly a year now!

b) "It would be nice if..." a countdown timer could be associated with a cue to give the operator a clue as to when the next step is due. During rehersal I inadvertantly got caught out by a "false" end on a piece of music. For the shows I used a watch and a printed cue sheet - I couldn't help thinking that computers should do this sort of thing! The new "Back Cue" behaved as advertised and saved the day...

c) The "gobo" channel for the HES Technobeam is incorrect - There are 8 gobo's not 5! Having loaded up my custom "The End" gobo I was bemused to find LCEdit telling me it was gobo 5, not 8!

FYI - The shows went well - I can't wait for the DVD to see it from the audience perspective :-)

All in all the LCX performed its duties admirably, thanks for the comments/hints over the last few weeks.
