Thanks Jon! If using MIDI, use a Patch Change to fire the cue initially and then "Go Next Cue" (via Bank 127 or a controller code) to move to the next cue. A cue could be an entire cuelist, or up until the next "hold forever" within the same cuelist. Ok, so I want to run Cue 1 (first song of the set). I send a Patch 1 command, does that immediately trigger go? =20 Let's say step 1 is a hold forever, and step 2 is for a par flash in sync with the beat (hold forever also). With step 3 being "go step 1". Once I send Program Change 1, I can then use Controller 90 to say "Go step 2" and then Controller 90 again to say "Go Step 3" which immediately sends it back to 1? Then step 4 is a strobe to accent a snare roll. In order to break the loop of 1-3 I can send Controller 86 with a value of 4 to run step 4...then back to Controller 90 to tell it to "Go next step" to 5?? What MIDI sequencer are you using? For writing we use Cubase SX, but for live sequences we have been using Cakewalk for years at it is less intensive on the CPU and seems more solid. As it stands, we have an ADAT running backing tracks, sending timecode to a Datasync which translates it to midi time code. The sequencer chases it. Right now we are doing mostly FX changes via midi for vocals and guitars, and now lights. Eventually we want to have video running on the laptop as well. Again, thanks a lot Jon. Program changes are much easier! I still don't understand the 14bit number thing...I think it's "fuzzy math" haha. A strange note for you. I went to your site dagget.tv. Somehow it triggered a popup for porn?? I think it's just my Comcast IExplorer..it has some odysseus marketing popup engine in it...Just an odd choice? Chris
