It means your box has no valid firmware, so you need to upload firmware. This also means the USB port is working, as it recognized the LanBox-LCX (e.g "Unknown" is not good ;-). I tried to reproduce it here on a Win2000 PC what could happen after crash during upload, and noticed: 1. Remove the USB connection, and reboot the PC as Win can become very confused about USB devices. 2. After reboot, plug-in the USB cable of the (powered off/on) LanBox. At this point you can check in the Windows Device manager (under modems) that the "CDS LanBox USB modem" is properly working, and you can see to what COM port it has been assigned (properties->advanced->advanced port settings). Be sure the used COM port is between 1-9, and that there is no conflict with other COM devices. If all is well you can connect with LCedit+ v3.03 again and upload the firmware. If still problems, please let me know what Windows version you use, and the results in the device manager.
