Hello All:

I am from the theme park industry and would like to give my take on this.   DMX 512 is a very capable and versatile protocol for many things but NOT anything that could potentially harm people or property.  DMX 512 is a "ONE Way" Communication protocol and is buy definition a single point failure since it does not know if the intended device received the command or if it is safe to act on the command.  I have worked extensively with "Life Safety" critical equipment and would be happy to assist you in getting this done.  If you would like to see some of the equipment please visit my web page at:
