Hi- I have to admit that I am quite a DMX nitwit, so there might also be a problem there. For example, the manual of the gobos contains a section about connecting the fixtures to a DMX chain and using a terminator. Unfortunately, I did not have a terminator available at that time, so just tried running the application without it and it worked fine. But maybe someone on here can tell me if the absence of a terminator can cause this kind of problem in the long run.Although the absence of a DMX terminator is (very probably) not the cause of this particular problem (DMX equipment working fine at first, but going funny after two hours of operation) it is very important that you -always- terminate a DMX line. Erratic behaviour of DMX equipment is symptomatic for the absence of a termintator, although it probably would've been there from scratch, instead of acting up after two hours. DMX terminators are inexpensive and also quite easy to build yourself, it's nothing but a DMX plug with a 1/2W 120 ohm resistor fitted between pins 2 and 3. Although the absence of a DMX terminator will not always instantly cause trouble it is good practice to terminate your DMX, and it saves you from the painful situation of an expensive rig of DMX equipment not functioning properly because of the lack 1 plug and a resistor costing well, maybe E/$ 5,00 ?
