Well I have to admit I'm stumped. I've been using lighting boards since 1979. I've been using computers and namely Macs since 1985. I've been using LCEdit II since 1999. So I don't really consider myself a computer nincompoop. But four times now I have installed LCEdit + to try and see how it works. And four times, after having spent hours at it, I have given up frustrated and annoyed. Not only does the manual not supply an answer when I get stuck but I can't even get past creating the first lighting effect. All the following ones just seem to erase what I created previously. Furthermore what is worse, twice I have had a hell of a time trying to reinstall LCEdit II firmware, which repeatedly and insistently refused to upload. I can assure that this is no laughing matter when you're a couple of hours from doing a show and you've absolutely got to get the LCEdit II up and running. Both times I was only saved by that fact that I own 2 Lanboxes and the second one wasn't in use. So what can be done? Have you entertained the idea of rewriting the manual? Or rethinking the interface to make it a tad more intuitive? Or is there someone out there who doesn't live too far from Lausanne, Switzerland and who is au fait with Edit + who could help me out. Or else the next time should I ring you up so you can walk me through the learning process. Don't get me wrong, I love the Lanbox and am absolutely delighted with reliabillity and ease of LCEdit II and profoundly hope that LCEdit + will overcome its shortcomings but at the moment I just can't work it. Am I the only nitwit on this list ?
