Are there any other users on this list that are trying to use lights in a more musical way, rather than theatrical that have made or are making instruments in max? One problem i am having is that too much information is being sent out of the machine. If I use speedlim, then I often lose some output pairs, which is usually fine, except for when they are "note offs". How can I limit the data, without losing the important things? As Stijn Slabbinck already said, you should speed limit your data at the beginning of your patch. Also in LCedit+ the setchannel command is built in a smart way so that you can sent 1 set channel with many channels, instead of multiple set channel commands (you can do it in MIDI SysEx). Important to know that a LanBox-LC has about 200 bytes input buffer, while a LCM and LCX have a 2000 bytes input buffer per stream. This means you can send much larger commands to the new boxes.
