In theory yes, but it would make triggers depending on the amplitude (and maybe spectrum if there are filters added). This kind of triggers are hardly useful, as most people hope to get a trigger on the beat of the music, but that's another story.


If not how would you do this through MIDI, does anyone know of a sound
trigger that could be connected to the LANBOX Midi Plug?
I heard that there are people trying to develop a beat detection algorithm in MAX. If they succeed you can have a really good working piece software to trigger on the beat of the music.

If you want just a trigger on the volume of sound, you can make a simple peak detector and use e.g. digital input 1 of your LCM as trigger input.
