I'm setting up a new LanBox, attached it via
USB to a Win2000 laptop.  I've installed the

only appear (yes, COM 3 appears twice).
Does not sound good, how many serial ports do you have? I have here COM1 (serial port) and COM8 (the LCX), but the internal modem (COM2) is not in the list. Don't ask why the LCX is COM8 (see previous posts;-)

I've
tried selecting all three and the popup says
it can't connect to the lanbox.  In the Win
terminal emulator I do see
 CDS Lan Box USB Modem
as an option.
The terminal emulator displays COM ports as COM and the driver name if possible, LCedit+ displays only up to 3 COM ports. To see which COM port is assigned by Windows to the "CDS LanBox USB Modem", go to the hardware device manager list, properies, modem tab.
