Overview
The 788-LD is a four channel digital dimmer pack that can be used in any DMX-512 environment. The CE qualified, dimmer does more than control the intensity of the four 1kW channels, it can also control the dim-speed of each channel individually.

Settings
Besides dimming, each channel can be set in Switch mode, for equipment that should either be on or off. The 788-LD can be set to use 4 DMX channels (no dim-speed control) or 8 DMX channels (with dim-speed control) using the DIP switches.

Applications
The 788-LD DMX dimmer pack is ideal for controlling simple off-the-shelf halogen lights, but works equally well with professional lighting equipment. Inductive loads (like low voltage halogen lights, air vents or neon lights) are dimmed perfectly, without annoying hums or damage to the transformers. A fifth outlet is provided to allow easy patching through.

Protection
The 788-LD is fed through a single 230 Volt line, it hold no fuses but uses a state of the art electronic protection scheme to prevent short circuit, overload and overvoltage problems. When the electronic protection is activated the 788-LD will be automatically re-activated as soon as the problem is solved.
