LCedit+ v3.0.2 released [December 10, 2002]

The final v3.0.2 releases of LCedit+ for MacOS, OS X and Win98SE/2000/XP, can be downloaded for free.
New features:

  • Scene compression; you can now store up to 300% more scenes in the LCX & LCM.
  • 200% faster screen refresh.
  • LCM can now save the "play layer" state (IR menu 5).
  • Increment/decrement to next multiple of 5 step in Go field.
  • Replace at next multiple of 5 step with option/alt key.
  • Instant switch between Edit/Run layer mode.
  • Key option/alt-enter is enable all channels of fixture/group.
  • Key option/alt-backspace is disable all channels of fixture/group.
  • key x selects pan field, and y selects tilt field.
  • Time stamp in interface log added.
  • Reset layer/engine added as Go 0 (CLI g0), and in script: reset engine x.
  • Library files updated, new fixtures added, and new presets added.
  • Menu command "Reset preset numbers" added.

Bug fixes:

  • On MacOS 8/9: Apple's USB modem bug solved (stopped working after some time), by creating an alternative USB modem extension.
  • Cursor issue in script editor of OSX version solved.
  • Memory leak in OSX version solved.
  • 0.05 sec lost in hold/fade time corrected.
  • In library editor "Illegal Cast Exception" fixed.
  • Big scenes backup/restore/load/save are now correctly working.
  • +/- bug in decimal DMX data mode fixed.
  • On the Windows version some menu short-cuts did not work.


LanBox-LCX & LCM released [September 24, 2002]

After months of field tests the LanBox-LCX and the LanBox-LCM are officially released and can now be delivered from stock.

LCedit+ v3.0 released [September 5, 2002]

The final v3.0 releases of LCedit+ for MacOS, OS X and Win98SE/2000, can be downloaded for free. Features of LCedit+ v3.0:

  • Supports LanBox-LC, LanBox-LCX and LCM (512 channels).
  • New much simpler to use human interface for layers (engines).
  • Selecting of fixtures/groups on stage by key navigating.
  • Individual intensities of a group are now also shown.
  • Printing of the cast list in sorted order is added.
  • Renaming and renumbering of fixtures/groups is made flexible.
  • More key shortcuts and CLI commands (also for the Windows version).
  • Split fades and "add" mixing on LCX & LCM.
  • Global settings extented for LCX (tcp/ip, DMX-in, digital out).
  • Write to MIDI script command on LCX & LCM


Bug fixes. The new versions can be downloaded for free. Changes from LCedit+ v2.02:

  • Backup/restore for many cuelists now works also on Windows.
  • Communication timeout and sync improved.
  • Connection is properly closed and user is notified when a global setting
    is changed that causes the connection to terminate.
  • Focus- and apply- related problems solved in patch tab of fixture dialog.
  • There is now a 30-second timeout on establishing a TCP/IP connection.
  • Auto-Update no longer automatically enabled when in debug mode.
  • Debug commands with a preceding %, are expected to return data.


New add-on product, the iPrint-LT [February 24, 2002]
We are now also selling the European version (230V~) of the iPrint-LT, an Ethernet to PhoneNet network bridge. The iPrint-LT makes access of up to 8 LanBox-LCs on Ethernet possible. The iPrint-LT is a "must have" item when you want to control LanBox-LC(s) from a Macintosh via an Ethernet (or wireless) network. With this setup you can have two control/monitor Macs and up to 8 LanBox-LCs, which should be enough to control quite a show;-)


LCedit+ v2.02 released [January 11, 2002]

Button panels with up to 255 buttons, position locking of fixtures, the Vari*Lite V2200 fixture library file, copy/pasting DMX values of a fixture or group, and bug fixes are some of the new features. LCedit+ v2.02 is made in three flavors, for use on MacOS, Win98SE/2000, and OS X 10.1. The new versions can be downloaded for free. Changes from LCedit+ v2.0:

  • LanBox-DG (DMX grabber) support in MacOS version.
  • Fixture button panel now supports up to 255 buttons.
  • For fixtures without Intensity panel (like color scrollers), it's no longer required to have a first dummy panel. Only when the first panel is a large wheel, you need a dummy (no channel #).
  • Includes the Vari*Lite V2200 fixture library file.
  • The Martin MAC2000 has now separate buttons for M1..M8.
  • Copy and paste of fixture DMX values implemented.
  • The positions of fixtures can be locked with the View menu.
  • The small wheel of a button panel is now disabled, when there is no range but one value.
  • Fixed a bug which allowed to change Intensity gain with non intensity fixtures (scrollers).
  • Disabled the interfaces popup in the library editor.
  • Fixed a bug when trying to read an illegal project file.
  • Fixed a bug in fixture selection order of duplicate or make group.
     


LCedit+ v2.0 released [August 31, 2001]

The final v2.0 releases of the new version of LCedit+ for MacOS, Win98SE/2000, and now also for OS X, can be downloaded for free. Features of LCedit+ v2.0:

  • Fixture library with a selection of predefined fixtures.
  • User definable fixture library support.
  • User definable fixture presets.
  • Larger buttons, and single fixture/control window.
  • DMX controls with (user changeable) icons and DMX buttons.

LCeditII, v1.3.4b2 updater released [May 4, 2001]
The fixture library of LCeditII is extended with the High End Systems Studio Color 250, and the 8 bit versions of the Martin MAC300 and MAC250. The updater can be downloaded for free from our site.

LCedit for PalmOS v1.0b1 released [April 16, 2001]

We are very excited to announce the release of LCedit for PalmOS, which can be downloaded for free from our site. This new free software extends the use of the LanBox-LC with another platform. Light editing with the LanBox-LC DMX controller is mostly done by using one of our LCedit lighting editors running on Macintosh or Windows platform. But now you can also use LCedit for PalmOS. See also our press release and products page.

Features:

  • Runs on any PalmOS 3.x device.
  • Can be used with a LanBox-LC running LCII or LC+ firmware.
  • User definable presets made from a "LanBoxCmd" message pad.
  • User channel/groups list made from a "LanBoxGrp" message pad. 


LanBox-LCII installer v1.3.3 now final [February 11, 2001]

After a long beta period for LCeditII v1.3.3b5 and firmware v2.23, we have released a final v1.3.3 installer and can be downloaded for free. Changes from v1.3.2:

  • MIDI controller 65 command now ignores NoteOns of zero just as NoteOffs.
  • The High End Studio Spot 250, the Martin MAC 250 and generic RGB fixtures have been added.
  • Some minor bugs are solved.

We renewed our site [November 1, 2000]

Besides the new appearance, we also renewed our news, product , support, sales and library pages. Navigating through are site should also be much easier now, as you have submenu links on the top left side of each page. Please let us know what you think of our new site.


LanBox-LC+ software version 1.0b3d released [October 9, 2000]

We have released version 1.0b3d of the "Plus" software package and can be downloaded for free. Changes from v1.0b3c:

  • A selection on multiple groups (of the same type) is now allowed.
  • Engine A..H shortcut keys, for fast Engine switching.
  • Performance of wheels/trackball is greatly increased.
  • Engine window is further simplified with a tab panel.
  • All editing commands have now buttons in the engine window.
  • Large Chaser and Mixer wheels.
  • The "stop" button now also clears the engine, while Go .0 does not.
  • Keys "stuck" bug solved.
  • Preliminary LCedit+ manual v1.0b4 is included.
  • New firmware v1.05: (Note-Off with velocity and MIDI edit commands bugs solved).
     

LanBox-LC+ software version 1.0b3c released [September 4, 2000]

We have released version 1.0b3c of the "Plus" software package. Bug fixes from v1.0b3b:

  • The auto re-select of the "Go" field is working again.
  • "fading wheels" problem solved.
     

LanBox-LC+ software version 1.0b3b released [August 24, 2000]

We have released version 1.0b3b of the "Plus" software package. Changes from v1.0b3a:

  • Data entry in DMX fields is automatically in preferred format.
  • Performance in "Run" mode is greatly increased.
  • Backup has now a default folder name which can be changed.
  • Speed and Transp fields are now editable.
  • Go field keeps it's entered value in run mode.
  • Space bar is 'Go Next"
  • Engine window borders have a new color scheme: The target engine has a border, blue for run mode, green/red for edit mode (red if you have unsaved changes).
  • Clear button added in engine window.
  • Having 80 or more empty cuelists will no longer freeze backup.
  • Flash and blackout bug solved.
     

LanBox-LC manual v2.0b2 and LC+ software v1.0b3a released [August 14, 2000]

We have released a new general manual for the LanBox-LC, see our support page. Good news for Windows users, as the v1.0b3a of the LanBox-LC+ package is now also available for Windows. The Macintosh version is also updated with a few changes and now includes the new LanBox-LC manual. The software can be downloaded for free from our dowloads page
 

LanBox-LC+ software version 1.0b3 released [July 1, 2000]

We have released the third beta version of the "Plus" software package, see our press release for more information. The LanBox-LC+ software can be downloaded for free. Changes from v1.0b2:

  • A stage window where you can create and organize your lighting groups.
  • The groups can represented by small or large icons, or just labels.
  • A background picture can be pasted and moved on the stage (but is not saved yet in b3).
  • Instead of a single settings file, you can now have any number of separate project files.
  • Project files do not only save groups, but also window positions and the views.
  • The connection to the LanBox is automatically reestablished when you open the project.
  • Support for multiple engine controls, group panels, monitors and script editors.
  • The floaters stick together for easy positioning, and can be "locked" into a view.
  • The decimal point bug has been solved (it generates a period, but also accepts a comma).
  • Backups are now tab-separated files which you can edit in a spreadsheet program.
  • And more. 
     The prices of our products are now in Euro!

From July 1, 2000 all our prices are in Euro (see new order form). Also due to the extensive raise of the US dollar and electronic components pricing, in the past 12 months, we had to raise our prices to compensate this.
