LCedit+ v4.3 released for MacOS, OS X and Windows

LCedit+ v3.5 released for OS X and Windows.

March 22, 2010, Maassluis, NL -

CDS advanced technology bv announces the v3.5 release of LCedit+, the advanced LanBox lighting editor, for multiple platforms. In the past few years, many new features where added to the LanBox firmware, so it was time to bundle them together with an updated LCedit+ to version 3.5. LCedit+ has been extended with Art-Net settings, the new cuestep actions, and other new features which where added in firmware, especially in the LanBox-LCX. The fixture library of LCedit+ has been updated with the many new fixture types, contributed by customers, and the ones we added.

Included is the newest firmware v2.11 for the LanBox-LCX, newest MAX-MSP externals with examples (incl Jitter Video2DMX), and Isadora video to DMX example.

We also streamlined documentation, so the tutorial, hardware, and LCedit+ reference manuals are gone. The use of LCedit+ and the LanBoxes is now described in the new and improved pdf document "LCedit+ user manual", and covers all features and usages.

LCX users should install firmware v2.11, LCM and LCE users v2.10.

New features of LCedit+ v3.5 with firmware v2.11:
* One pdf document: "LCedit+ user manual" instead of three overlapping documents.
* New action "Go triggers". Up to 64 triggers for calculated Go are now possible. The Go is calculated from a channel DMX value, so it's also working on analog channels (Go depending on sensor value).
* Art-Net support. The LCX can now transmit 4, and receive one Art-Net universes.
* Serial (RS232) support for the LanBox-LCX. The MIDI port can have RS232 baudrates, and digital outputs can be used as 9600 baud serial output port. The action "write to .." is extended with ser1-8.
* Two alternate MIDI command sets for easy use of MIDI commanders like the BCF2000.
* Analog channels 1-8 are now also visible as light channels 3061-3068, but scaled to 8 bit.
* Small bug fixes in firmware and LCedit+
