| Show control with a LanBox Every LanBox has, besides standard fade actions for scenes, many built-in actions for show control applications. It is e.g. possible to trigger cues, chases, or shows on a change of analog inputs (LCX only), or on certain DMX values of a light channel. Also MIDI output in any form (messages, SysEx, MSC) can be generated with a special action, so you can control e.g. digital audio recorders or other MIDI equipment. In order to have show control you only need to built so called control cues, which runs in a layer. For more info see the LCedit+ tutorial (interactive multimedia shows).
With the stylish (and very affordable) iMac you won't be afraid to show the equipment you're using, ideal for interactive setups. Connect multiple LanBoxes using an Ethernet switch to the iMac if needed. Additional equipment (video disks, slide projectors, etc.) can be connected using the iMac USB bus and MIDI/serial adapters. Small portable setup With this setup you can work with up to 512 DMX channels (about 20 to 50 fixtures) per LanBox. Triggers from the NoteBook (for example using the bundled LCedit+ software) and from MIDI if you are using a LanBox-LCX. Set it up in no time, run the show and get out fast, without any hassle. You can of course expand the setup with video disks, slide projectors, smoke generators, VCR desks and what not. Connect a USB to RS232 or MIDI adapter to the NoteBook and with a show control program you can control all this and still be portable. Hardware Ingredients...
