Do you know? A LanBox is a DMX controller, but what can you do with DMX lighting? To give you an idea of applications that can be conceived with a LanBox we sketched a couple of real life situations. Of course there are many other ways in which you can use a LanBox, this is just something to get your imagination started. New products, Shopping booth, Performing artists, Art shows, Special project
What you need is something new in your way of presenting. Any computer can generate cool animations and high quality sounds, but that angle has been covered by everyone now and is getting boring. You need a bright, new idea. Lighting and special effects captures peoples attention, you need only to think of theatre shows, rock concerts or TV studios to confirm that. So how about combining lighting with the multimedia presentation you've prepared. Images, music and lights in a tightly synchronized show is bound to get attention. Make the spectators look where you want them to look using light beams, colors, rotating logos and special effects. A LanBox brings control of lighting and special effects to the Macintosh and Windows platform and integrates it with presentations, animations, music, video or whatever.
You need your candy bar to present itself to the K-MARKET customers. Something to draw their attention. Something that you can set up, turn on and work without supervision. A LanBox can run a stand alone light show at a 1 square meter shopping area or less, all day, all night, all year. One LanBox, one moving head and maybe a couple of colored lights for extra show. A LanBox-LCM only costs less then Euro 400, a low cost scanner anything from 300 to 1000 Euro (and of course you can rent that). For about 700 to 1400 Euro per set you can have the introduction you want. |
Do you know how to get your audience excited? A new show, a new performance, new songs, new moves, you're ready for it. Maybe you've had ideas for your light show, but the problem is every venue uses a different lighting board, it's just not practical. Besides how would you synchronize the lightshow of the venue with your performance? The answer is, take control of the lightshow yourself. A LanBox-LCX can be synchronized using MIDI, via a TCP network or from any computer. You program your show at home and simply ask for the DMX (lighting) cable at the venue. A LanBox is highly portable, designed for 'on the road' use and can be installed on any solid surface. Combined with a laptop computer you have your portable lighting control center, and you finally have lights exactly when and how you want them.
You need to make people become awed again, capture the magic of what your showing and give it to the people. An impressive presentation does not necessarily mean making a noisy, obtrusive show. Lighting can be used subtle, setting moods, creating atmosphere. Classic theatre plays by Shakespeare are performed with lots of lighting effects these days. The essence is creating magic and enchanting people again. Something the tube cannot do.
One of the big advantages of a LanBox is that it can be fully computer controlled through various communication channels. There is a big chance that with the LanBox and some additional programming on a computer (Perl, php, MAX, Director or some other high level environment) your project can be made to happen. Because with a LanBox you have a built-in DMX sequencer (actually a show controller) that can be combined with manual control of specific DMX channel, there not many things you can't do with it. Besides, we're always willing to listen to your needs, good chance we'll make it possible! |
