I have tried pinging the box and i get the correct result. Ive tried crossover cables and normal cat 5 cables, after a week of trying everything in the manual ( and all the suggestions of my friends) I am getting a little frustrated. Can anyone give me any new suggestions as to what may be wrong ( I am sure it is something small and simple) My Macs network settings are manual , 192.168.1.10 , 255.255.255.0 and router is blank.

Below is the ten step action how to reset your LCE back to the factory defaults. (Both LCE and LCM). 1 Connect the LCE via Ethernet to your computer, The Lanbox is off (not connected to power), 2 Open the top lid of the LCE / LCM by removing the four top screws, 3 Press the small switch inside next to the big light grey connector, 4 While pressing the switch plug in the power adapter, 5 Keep the switch pressed until the message "Abrt" starts to blink rapidly after about 10 seconds, 6 Once the message starts to blink, release the switch and unplug the power adapter, 7 Plug in the power adapter again. The display will state "boot", 8 In LCEdit, connect to the LanBox via the IP address 192.168.1.77, 9 It will connect, no password is asked, and nothing happens because the firmware is erased (you will not see any layers for example), 10 Upload the latest firmware for LCE (v3.01) using the menu bar "tools" -> "upload firmware". The LanBox will ask for the default password twice (777). Thats it. Let me know if that works [ Edited Sat Jun 09 2012, 03:59AM ]
